On May 22 of this year, sports competitions among children with disabilities were organized at the Yunusabad Sports Complex under the slogan “Healthy Generation — Strong Future.”
The event was held in cooperation with the Tashkent City Department of the Society of Disabled Persons of Uzbekistan and the Mirabror Usmanov International Public Charity Foundation.
The sports festival was organized to encourage children with disabilities to engage in physical activity, promote a healthy lifestyle, support their active participation in society, and help reveal their talents and abilities.
The competitions were held in 7 sports disciplines: chess, checkers, table tennis, running, ball throwing, long jump, and arm wrestling. The participants took part in the competitions with great enthusiasm and high spirits, demonstrating their skills and abilities.
At the end of the event, the winners and prize-winners were awarded cups, medals, and memorable gifts. In addition, a handicraft fair featuring handmade products created by people with disabilities was organized as part of the event. The fair served as an opportunity to showcase the participants’ creative potential to the wider public.
The sports event became significant not only because of the competitions, but also because it gave children the opportunity to make new friends, support one another, and feel the care and attention of society.
